Rheological Parameters of Highly Concentrated Suspensions Determined by Sedimentation Studies
Flow behavior of concentrated suspensions are mostly characterized by viscometric approaches. Interpretation or results, especially at low shear rates, are often difficult due to sedimentation and particle migration resulting in a non homogeneous distribution within the viscometric gap. By contrast analyzing the sedimentation kinetics of such suspensions in a gravitational or centrifugal field also yields information about viscosity behavior. ..........
